double pay

i'm the type of person that can't be affected by those long weekend holidays. if there are holidays i'll definitely go to work no question ask and have my own long holidays some other ordinary days. But if someone would asked me a reason what can make me give up my precious double pay.. my answer will be them. :)

well it's way past my birthday month.. but i can say that this year's was the most memorable ever. i've got to spend it with different people i barely even know to those people i've been with all my life.
since i start earning my own money i see to it that i have my own birthday celebration even in the simplest way possible. not until last year that i was lucky enough to received a round trip ticket to Coron, Palawan to celebrate my birthday there. So this year i plan to celebrate it to Davao but things happened unexpectedly that i got to celebrate this special day to Boracay, Davao, Bacolod, Ilolo and Guimaras in a month's time. (sino may sabi na si Vic Sotto lang ang may month long birthday celebration? =)

ava and her college friends invited me a weekend in boracay a week before my birthday. it was out of the plan i know but who can resist Boracay? so off we went to Boracay and had the most relaxing vacation ever! :)

officemates surprised me with a cake and lots of chocolates on the day of my birthday.. yep..i did go to office on the day of my birthday.  and it was nice when your office mate friends made an effort to make your day somewhat special.  :)

my college friends made an effort to be with me on that day too..even though i know they didn't want to go to my place because i seem like living in a far far away land. :p 
i've been spending my birthdays with this girls from time immemorial and i knew their wished ever since  -to finaly find that special someone i've got to spend my birthday with or without them. :)

 the following morning i had an early flight to Davao with Jackie. I met Jackie from my Coron trip and we've been friends ever since. She made my Davao trip possible because the ones whom i supposed to go to Davao with cannot join me anymore. My Davao Escapade is not my usual relaxing vacation because we tried all those death defying adventures that Davao can offer.. some i would like to try again..then the others? never. :) I've met different people in our water rafting adventure.. and eventually made friends with them. They've been our companions throughout our 3-day stay in davao. :)

Davao Newly Found Friends

on our fourth day of  Davao tour and after all those death defying activities Jackie and i treat ourselves to an overnight stay at Pearl Farm resort.. and all i can say was WOW. this is the first time that i'm paying for a luxury accommodation  and it was all worth it.  and i even suspected that after all those eat all you can meals this is where i get those terrifying extra pounds that i'm struggling with right now. :)

Two weeks after my birthday.. Chyng invited me to go to Masskara festival with her in Bacolod. Out with the sun, the sands and the shore.. in with foods and street dancing and whole lot of masks. I feel like i'm Reo's Carnival while watching the Masskara Festival. and oh.. did i forget to mentioned that Bacoleños are generally gwapa. Namit na food and gwapa na people are a best combinations indeed. :) I also meet a lot of Chyng's friends.. all of them make me feel that they've known me long enough that being out of place is out of the question. :) We even have the chance to meet some politicians just because nageffort kaming magbilad sa araw. :)

some people are afraid to get older..and i am no exception.. but if you live your life the way you wanted it, being able to meet new friends and aged with grace and wisdom... maybe getting old isn't so bad after all. :)

note: but i still want to search for that mythical fountain of youth. :)

everybody love surprises. i am no exception. it makes me happy when someone gave me things randomly without expecting something in return.

it's one of those days that you wished that time would stop and savor the moment with that someone who unintentionally made you happy.

i deactivated my facebook account last night for a reason unknown. i just feel like to disconnect myself from the loop for a while... in short inaarte mode.

all in a days work

it's been a year since i left my previous job and accepted my current job. it was a terrifying decision then if i might say.. i'm not used to changes and i can't imagine doing other things aside from my former job description. surprisingly it turns out that i really enjoys what i'm doing in my job right now aside from other perks like cute office mates and annoying is. :)

Lesson Learned: don't be afraid to try something new. take chances, it might be that big break you've been praying for.

note: i already have a paid vacation leave! i can't wait to use it! yay! :))

been there, done that.

i know i've been taking this blog forgotten for a very looong time. i still remember the reason why i made this blog.. to document what's been happening in my life whether it's been happy or sad.

so what makes me busy this past few years? i've been traveling a lot when work schedules and budget allowed me to. i love traveling, it makes me know my friends and travel buddies more and myself better.

i am blessed to have many friends who love to travel too. My trip to BICOL and SORSOGON is one of my best vacation ever. i'm lucky to have spent this with this guys. :) Bicol is one beautiful place amidst all the natural calamities that's been occuring it that province lately.. i know the true beauty in that place will always shine through.

My CORON experience is another thing. Naiwan ako ng eroplano! It was my birthday and i miscalculated the time... i need to purchase another plane ticket. ang mahal! lesson learned the hard way. But i'm glad i made that purchase because Coron is a paradise here on earth. :)


these trips happened from previous year. i promised or try to blog all the trips that i have made this year. it's not a lot but it was remarkable as well. ( at least for me.)

so if  someone asked me why i love traveling i will say in a (beauty pageant manner) that i love traveling because it makes me do things i never even dream of me doing. it makes me wear clothes that i can't wear in my workplace and my everyday life. i got to know people in every walks of life. i got to eat foods that are popular in that place per se. quoting the famous Joey De Leon on how to enjoy life: Trabaho, Ipon, Travel, Enjoy!

have you ever had that friend whom you can share everything with? whom you can talk to from morning to night just anything under the sun? whom you thought will always stay with you throughout the years no matter what? i thought i had found that special friend. that someone that can be that 'kuya' i never had. i once had. i just don't know what happened that drifted us apart. suddenly he shut me out from his life without any explanation... i really don't know why... i just wish he said goodbye.
